Shrubs and perennials can provide a low maintenance garden for people who haven't the time to tend for their gardens on a regular basis.
A lot of our shrubs and perennials are grown from seed and division, by local growers, that’s why we can keep our prices low.
We can prepare and design borders for your garden which will provide all year round colour and save you money and work in the long run as we provide plants that are either evergreen or come back every year.
Shrubs
Evergreen shrubs can provide all year round colour and texture. Shrubs are available to flower at different times of the year, some even change the colour of their leaves with the seasons, some have berries and attract birds to the garden.
Shrubs require very little maintenance and attention, most shrubs do not require pruning, most of our shrubs only grow to approx. 5-6 feet so are suited to the smaller garden but we can also provide larger shrubs.
Perennials
Although perennials don’t provide the colour that bedding plants provide they will live for at least 3 years which economically can’t be bad. They die down to the ground in the winter and just as you think you have lost them they appear like old friends in the early spring. Perennials can provide ground cover to help prevent weeds, some provide a good back drop at the back of a border or against a wall or fence.
To create a perennial border takes time and can be expensive but the use of bedding plants can be introduced in the border to fill in any gaps until your border is established.
Perennials borders can be a work of art in themselves. Planted in drifts and groups of the same plant provide variation in height, texture and waves of colour
